TLDR: But if you are winning/having fun it doesn't really matter what stats are "traps" or what's the "best build" for the character. Summon Quality is also important to strengthen skeletons, though. and if your Skeleton Level is high, chances are your normal Skeletons will handle everything/won't die anyway. Skeleton Level is the most prioritized stat, as it directly affects the power of your army. With good ATK Speed, you're bound to get a Skeleton you want/need through a fight. Quality is certainly useful but I'd say ~50% is the max you'd want to shoot for. IMO, Attack Speed, Skeleton Level and Max Summons(4-5 is usually good for at least 1 ranged skeleton) are most important for Necromancer. which is great for longer loops where their defense is really high. Then you have Skeleton Mages which ignore enemy defense stat. So that's really good against Blood Golems or heavy hitters like bosses. Shield Skeleton has innate "taunt" that causes enemies to hit it before any other target. (Ideally 1-2 level higher than loop) However, Quality is pretty good since different skeletons have skills/perks that can make a difference in some fights. Generally speaking you'll want your Skel level to be at least your current Loop level or higher. It isn't a trap, depending on your gear/perks. Originally posted by arroutado:Maybe quality upgrade is a trap, but i was levelup quality to more than 75% and it's when you will notice the great changes Max Skeleton controls how many can be at the Necromancers side at any given time after four, additional skeletons appear as archers and mages behind the Necromancer and their allies. I've had it happen, and it is a big reminder that you shouldn't have your Summon Quality at zero if you can help it. Skeleton Level will determine the summons health and damage, essential to focus on so the skeletons can keep pace with the foes players are fighting. This will kill the necromancer in seconds and you can't do anything about it. For example, it's definitely possible for the boss to ignore the minions and focus-fires on the necromancer. It's a very low chance, but you can be screwed over by RNG and it can be really infuriating when it happens. It's mostly because Skeleton Guards have a special ability that forces enemies to attack them. I used to ignore Summon Quality, but to be honest, it helps a whole lot. Your basic skeleton will get replaced by either a Skeleton Guard (the one with the shield) and a Skeleton Warrior (the one dual wielding weapons), and your Skeleton Archers will get replaced by Skeleton Mages. Summon Quality is the percent chance of summoning a special skeleton. But the Skeleton Level affects how much damage and health your summoned minions have. Any build can work depending on your play style, the perks that you got, and what items you have equipped in the Supply Depot.
